IPC

Sunburst Electronics follows the guidelines set forth by the Institute for Inteconnecting and Packaging Electronics Circuits (IPC).

Workmanship

Sunburst Electronics Workmanship meets IPC-610 Class II and is warranted for 1 year. Class III is available upon request, If not noted on your manufacturing drawing or CAD notes, please let your sales person know that your assembly requires class III at the time of quotation.

Training

To meet the high standards demanded by ISO, training is a critical part of all job functions. Each Sunburst Electronics employee obtains job-specific certifications through a rigorous training program. Some of the training programs include Solder (conducted by an in-house IPC certified trainer), ESD and Component Identification, Blueprint Reading, Wire Termination, Process/Machine-Specific training, Calibration and Inspection.

Training is based on a number of specifications, including IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001B for Quality and Workmanship; MIL-I-45208 and MIL-STD-105 for Inspection; DOD-STD-1686 for ESD; and MIL-STD-45662 for Calibration.
